Information we collect

We may collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, donation or sponsorship details, and any message you send through our forms.

When you use our website, we may also collect limited technical information such as browser type, device information, pages visited, and general analytics data that helps us understand how the site is used.

If you create an account for the student or donor portal, we collect the login and profile information needed to provide that service securely.

How we use information

We use personal information to respond to inquiries, process donations and sponsorships, send updates you request, operate our public website and private portals, improve our programs, and meet legal or accounting obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

Sharing of information

We may share information with trusted service providers who help us operate our website, process payments, send email, or host data, only as needed to perform those services.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect the rights and safety of Everlasting Spring and others, or in connection with organizational transitions where continuity of donor and program records is necessary.

Child sponsorship involves sharing limited, appropriate updates between sponsors and our partner ministry. We do not publicly disclose sensitive personal details about children beyond what is needed for sponsorship and storytelling, and we handle children's information with particular care.

Cookies and similar technologies

Our site may use cookies or similar technologies for essential functionality (such as keeping you signed in), remembering preferences, and understanding aggregate site usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling some cookies may affect parts of the site.

Data retention and security

We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law and sound nonprofit recordkeeping.

We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, subject to legal and operational limitations (for example, donation records we must retain for tax and accounting purposes).

To make a request, email semmy@everlastingspring.org with the subject line "Privacy Request."

Children's privacy

Our public website is not directed to children under 13 for account creation or unsolicited data collection. Sponsorship profiles and stories about children are managed carefully through our ministry partners and published only with appropriate consent and safeguards.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of the site after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.
